Attorney in Florida?
We need an attorney in Florida, how do I go about finding one? I didn't want to just google random people. My husband's father died a few years ago and he had my husband and his brothers as beneficiaries for an account. I'm not sure even what kind of law the attorney would practice....

I would think you would need an estate lawyer -try narrowing it down to the specific county and then google search. I usually feel if they have a website and a lot of lawyers they should be a pretty reputable firm but I could be wrong.

Re: Attorney in Florida?
Call the Bar Association in the county in which your FIL lived and ask for a few referrals for estate attorneys.

Re: Attorney in Florida?
definitely try the Bar Association if the county where you need someone. I have a friend from conferences that I go to who has a law practice in Florida. I believe she is on the West coast but I often forget exactly where. She's very bright & she wouldn't steer you wrong. Try the Bar Association first.
