If you don't mind sharing - How many vacation days do you get and how long have you worked for the company?

In my company you start with 2 weeks (that you accrue, so you don't have them all on day 1, they build over time)

After 4 years you increase to 3 weeks

After 10 years you increase to 4 weeks

I get a lot of time off:

25 vacation days (5 weeks)
5 personal days
6 sick days

total 36 days

I've been with this firm for 8 years but with my boss for 25 years. He left and started his own firm with some different people, and I negotiated this time off in order to make the move with him.

1 week of vacation

After 5 years of service, it gets bumped up to 2 weeks.

At six months from being hired we get five days. At one year we get another five days, so ten vacation days total in the first year. Then, we also get four personal days and five sick days. The second year of employment it jumps to four weeks of vacation days for the year, six personal, and six sick. And then it stays that way until like the five or ten year anniversary and then it changes again, I forget exactly.

I know that if we don't use the time, at a certain point, we lose it. But I forget exactly when that is. I always use my time so it's not usually an issue for me.

10 days. Bee here for 4.5 years. They do not increase.

This is what you get on day 1. I have no idea if this ever gets increased.

You can carry over 40 days a year I think.

And we get one day off for our birthday during our birthday month.

20 days of personal time off. So that's everything. The company also just gave us 3 wellness days per year.

I have been there for 5 years. We get another 5 days at 10 years. We never lose days. We accrue them and stop accruing at 300 hrs. I have never had that many hrs in my bank.

I started with 3 weeks and now am up to 4, I have been at my job for 7 years.

Sick hours are separate and are very generous.

My dh company

First year- 2 weeks vacation after 6 months, 3 personal and 3 sick days

Third Year- 3 weeks vacation 5 personal 5 sick days

10 years- 4 weeks vacation, 5 persona, 5 sick

I get a crazy amount of time off. I've been here for 1 year - 21 vacation days plus additional days for working election day and Veterans Day and probably a few others in there too, that I can't recall. Plus 21 sick days per year. When I started and they told me the amount of time off, I was soooo happy!

I honestly think those of us who have stuck it out for so long with rhis company should be rewarded with an additional week. Turnover is {ahem} quite high with new hires.

We get 4 weeks after 5 years, not sure what the yearly increases are to get to 4 though.

Also get 10 sick days (2 weeks)

I get 2 weeks vacation. I've been with my company for 2 years. I also get 7 sick/personal days per year.

Our company policy is:
after 1 year we get 2 weeks vacation
after 5 years we get 3 weeks vacation
after 10 years we get 4 weeks
and after 20 years we get 5 weeks

6 weeks. It doesn't go up or down. Everyone gets 6 weeks.

I started in April 2015, but my contract is only for 2 years. After that if I don't get a contract, then nothing because it will be freelance. I lose them if I don't use them and we don't get paid if we don't take them.

They don't have sick days here. I have a "relaxed" schedule 4 months out of the year (I work in education).

I'm also not in the US . But this is the first time I've had paid vacation time in over 10 years.

I just started with this company 6 months ago but I have been doing my role for the past 8 years.

I have 5 weeks vacation
3 personal days
5 sick days

After 5 years I will get another 2 weeks of vacation time and three more sick days. The personal days remain the same.

This excludes Martin Luther King, Presidents Day. We traded Columbus Day off to have off the day after Thanksgiving.

We start with 2 weeks vacation and can accrue 1.5 days every month. After 5 years, you can accrue 2 days every month.

So I've been there for 7 years:

Vacation: 2 weeks, plus accrual of up to 24 more days for the year - so approximately 7 weeks.

5 personal days
10 sick days
12 holidays

I also get comp and flex time so if I work over 40 hours I can bank time and use that for time off.

I work for a nonprofit, so we get paid crap, but we get lots of time off

I get 20 days that includes everything except bereavement, jury duty, military leave (if applicable)

I've been here a little over a year. I believe it increases after you hit your 5th year. Also have the opportunity to "buy" up to an additional week when open enrollment hits.

I work in central office at a school district.
Our company policy is:
after 1 year we get 2 weeks vacation
after 5 years we get 3 weeks vacation
after 10 years we get 4 weeks

We get 12 sick days a year
Then we get 5 Personal/Business days

and I get 3 Recess vacation days which we have to use during one of the holiday breaks. I use them during the chirstmas break.

*JUST* started in June.. and for the first time in YEARS I could not negotiate my standard 3 weeks.

We have PTO and I get about 17 days a year total. But that means sick and vacation.. so yuck.

I miss my 3 weeks vacation and 10 days sick.

I got 10 vacation days until I hit my 10th year and then I got 15.
I also get 6 personal days a year.

15 vacation days, 10 sick days. I've been there 9 years.

Here you start with 10 vacation, then after 5 years it increases to 15 days and then maxes out at 20 after 10 years. Sick days remain at 10 and carry over year to year .

I get 18 vacation days and 10 sick days. After 10 years you get another 5 days and then at 20 years you get another 5 days.

We have 10 vac, 2 personal until you are here 5 years. Then you get 15 vac, 3 personal.

But that's the cap. No more than 15 vac ever. They really should do another week after 10 years.

Sick is 6 per year.

I'm here 14 years.
