Jehovah Witness door to door question
They seem to be in our neighborhood and come to our door frequently. Earlier I noticed a car pulled up, parked in front of my neighbors house, 2 women got out and crossed the street, went down a few houses, rang the bell and waited for a few minutes. My neighbor didn't answer, so they walked back to their car, got in and left. I thought it was odd they only went to one house? Normally I see them go down the entire block. Also found it strange they parked a few houses away on the other side of the street if they were intending to just go to one house. Maybe someone has more info about how they choose where to go?

That neighbor may have spoken to them at length before, or even invited them in. Sometimes when they have a "lead" like that, they show up again.

Jehovah Witness door to door question
They actually came to my house a few weeks ago when it was warm. I was coming in the driveway and they were walking down (Might have been Mormons). I was VERY nice and said we were not interested. I might hate what they are doing, but I wont get angry at them. I will always be polite and decline politely.
I flicking hate anyone pushing their religion on me. I hate them coming to my home and telling me how bad my religion is. I hate when I am lectured about my beliefs and I need to change.
Sorry, but this ish is the ONLY thing that is my hot button. I respect everyone's faith. I think its great you pray and worship your own way. I deeply respect your beliefs and your relationship with your higher being. Stop disrespecting mine by telling me how wrong I am. If everyone would "live and let live" there would be less war in this world and less people killing each other over faith.
Really. Really hot button for me.

Agree that they might have had an invite in from that one neighbor at some point.
Sidebar, I was in the Heights working yesterday in the field and it was FRIGGIN COLD and they were standing in front of their kingdom hall with the pamphlets. Really come on! Cruel and unusual!!

Once you speak to them once, they will continue to come back, even if they just stop at your one house.

Ugh, they came here this week too. I didn't answer the door, but I'm pretty certain they knew I was home. I feel like they were knocking on my door last month too.
I used to answer the door for them, but not anymore. I understand they're trying to "spread their word," but I'm not interested in engaging them. Plus we've been having a lot of break-ins in the area lately, so I don't trust anyone.

Ugh. They got my husband outside once, who will talk to anyone at length! Now they come here all the time and bang on my door. I never answer, yet they still come by at least once a week. Never when he is home of course. Once when I didn't answer they opened my storm door and knocked on my inside door, which was opened a crack, so it swung open! My dog went NUTS and they slammed the door. So rude! If I don't answer, just go away! They will stand there and knock for 5 minutes...
I can respect anyone's religious beliefs, but don't push them on me!

They sent pamplets to my work. In Germany. From the US. Why didn't they just use the Jehovah's Witnesses in Germany? Plus I live in a Catholic state. It's so strange.

I have to say honestly I have never personally had a problem, yes I see them I roll my eyes and say oh no not again, but they ring my bell I say im sorry im not interested they may ask a question or try to hand me a pamphlet but I never really had a problem with them trying to engage me further or be annoying, maybe I have gotten lucky
and I wonder is this similar to how it was done way back when, the apostles and such trying to spread their beliefs in Jesus and did everyone get annoyed with them too

ITA as I have them come back too all the time and they never really bother me. They don't try to push anything on me and just give me their pamphlet. I actually read it as it is not different from my beliefs. Just basically about doing the right things in life.

Can I ask why? Were they being that pushy? I haven't found that and while it is annoying they keep coming back, they never bother me to the point to say something mean to them.
