they were the first rock concert I ever went to..i was in college and DH and I were dating. He was in the pearl jam fanclub 
I feel really F**king old right now.

I feel really F**king old right now.
I came into work one Monday and had a meeting with one of my direct reports. I always start my meetings with "how was your weekend," etc. She had gone to Global Citizens over the weekend and was super excited to see Beyonce, Coldplay, etc. She then asked "there was this other band there people seemed to love? Pearl Jam something? Have you ever heard of them?"
Apparently we're really old.

its like my coworkers. they are all in their early to late 20's; so when my boss who is probably close to 50, makes some sort of pop culture reference, I get it, but the others are like..whhhaaaa???
and a while back Bon Jovi was doing an interview and thought it was hysterical that a younger set of fans had discovered them, and always asked " so what other albums do you have or is this the first one.."  for shame...lol

Ha! Yeah I mean...those dates that have been posted on various sites took off like wildfire a couple months ago. Strong rumors.
They haven't confirmed anything but I have a few friends in the industry and at particular venues who told me to keep my mid- to late spring open.
Although my honest opinion is that they haven't been as good these past couple of years as they used to be. Never thought I would have said that about them. The last album - dare I say it - kind of blows in comparison to the rest of their catalog.

I tried Philly, Lexington, Tampa, Raleigh and all I could get was behind the stage. I'm up for a road trip but I want decent tix if I'm going to do it.

Yeah we're behind the stage in philly. But dh really wanted to go bc we missed the last tour due to ds2 being born. At least philly isn't a long trip!

I'm glad you guys got tickets! Woohoo!
Any seat in a good seat. Just being in the building is what's important! Philly is a great town to see them in and behind the stage is probably a cool vantage point. I've always wanted to see them from behind the stage so I can obsess over Matt's drumming
Alli - if you find that you've upgraded your tickets and need to get rid of the extras, I know someone who would definitely take them. But I'm sure you know someone who may want them. So many people were screwed!

I got reserved as well for the same reason. And I like slightly more personal space than GA :)
My husband got tickets for the first night when they went on sale today. Never has any luck online but got thru on the phone. Can't wait!!
