We have a party until 2 so we will probably head out around 3 or 4.

We will go around dusk, 5/6pm when people can do their porch light thing to let us know whether we should knock!

I was wondering this too!
We would go trick or treating after dusk, and any house that had a porch light on was fair game. Once the light was out, they were either out of candy or hate kids and don't want trick or treaters 
Granted, this was when I was kid (out east LI).

What time do you plan on trick-or-treating this year?
definitely after lunch, and while it's still light out. then we'll stay home after dark to greet all the night time trick-or-treaters.

What time do you plan on trick-or-treating this year?
I think around 4/4:30. We have a Halloween party from 1-4 where ..we'll probably leave around 3 and hope to get my older DD to nap for an hour or two after the party and before Tor T'ing
