Missing 27 year old from Massapequa Park
Has anyone heard about this story? A man named Michael Bryant Adragna left his home to go for a run in the Massapequa Preserve on 8/31/2015 at 7:30am. He has not been heard from since. So scary. Can't imagine what his family is going through. Here is the FB page for any info.

How horrible. Me and my family are there all the time. I saw on the Massapequa Patch there was a recent incident of chicken killings, like a ritual in that park. Also, a lot of heroin activity in the park as well. I truly hope he is alive and well and pray for his family.

Re: Missing 27 year old from Massapequa Park
Awful. I pray he just needed to get away for a while. I always felt uncomfortable walking around that park even though it's so beautiful. Some parts are so isolated.

I used to run there pretty regularly when I lived in Massapequa, and I definitely felt eerily isolated during the part when it turned east and you crossed that teeny tiny bridge(and could no longer see the houses on Ocean Ave). Really hope they find him safe and sound.

Missing 27 year old from Massapequa Park
I live in the area and we go to the trails and ride bike quite often although we usually go in the middle of the day and as a family. This is so so scary. I really hope there is no foul play and maybe he just needed a break and walked away. Hope he is found safe

I've been sharing this on FB all week I really hope he just walked away because just the thought of the alternative is so scary and sad.

It says there might have been a spotting on Merrick Rd, nothing about Montana.
FB Page
ETA: Never mind that, read some comments, it does say he was found in Montana.

Missing 27 year old from Massapequa Park
So intriguing to me. Being from Massapequa I've been following this closely and just don't understand. Reading all the things people have been saying raises some read flags.

He left everything home (cell, wallet, etc).
For public safety reasons, I'm just glad that he was located. His personal reasons/issues for going missing really don't interest me.

I can't speak for anyone else who posted but I will say this: it isn't that his reasons or whatever interest me, and I feel for him if he is going through something emotionally or psychologically BUT what upsets me is the lack of consideration on his part for the resources used and money spent, etc. in trying to locate him... Regarding the police launching aviation units, canine units, officers on overtime combing the woods, etc. Any adult knows that if they don't alert their loved ones, they'll be considered missing, the loved ones will contact police and a search will be launched. It's common sense. The lack of thought on his part in that was wrong.
Not to mention the undue stress and anxiety placed upon his loved ones. He could have very easily left them a note stating he needed to "get away" and that he would reach out when he was ready, but not to worry, and saved the innocent tax payers and residents of Nassau a boatload of money in trying to find him when he was off in another state.
The DA could press charges against him for that.

Yes, I have heard of people being fined for the amount of the county resources that were used in searching for them when they were falsely "missing" It absolutely happens

I think the issue will be if he had capacity to understand the consequences of his actions when he left. If he was having a sudden psychiatric breakdown he wouldn't have thought of that. I hope he gets help.
