He looks terrible. I would still tap that of course hes not that terrible just terrible in the sense of he looks sad, tired, upset, like he doesn't really want to be there. Obvs its for the kids and its clear in these pics. He doesn't look happy at all.
Jen is putting on a pretty brave face she doesn't look as upset as he does.

What's sad is that her dress is awful and it probably cost $500. 
I usually defend her, at least when I feel the harshness is unfair but that outfit should never have seen the light of day.
He looks awful, way worse than she does. I have to wonder about the rumors of him partying and using are true and if he's either out late or in withdrawl, though I don't know what that looks like exactly.

sorry, but who cares they get together for outings. If a person is miserable and he always looks mad and miserable your not helping the kids in any way. Kids see, feel and hear everything. Those kids are feeling the tension between the parents, it cant be a fun day for anyone. They would be better off not having these fake outings. Less tension for the kids. JMO

Family is adorable. Ben looks sad. Jennifer wearing pjs. I'm not a shrink but being frank w the kids and going through the divorce together may be better then faking all is normal.
There is nothing wrong w family gatherings after divorce ..they will always be "family".
