Yes. We were in cental park and it was dark so somewhat empty. Didn't stop people from noticing though and shouting "oh look that guys proposing"

Yes.... We were at home sitting on the couch and he got down on his knee to ask, but I had no idea what was going on and I thought he fell off the couch so I started laughing at him. Then when I saw the ring I laughed harder because of the fact that I thought he had fallen off the couch (and also I laugh when I am nervous)
We cant do anything romantic so it was just very fitting

Did your DH get down on one knee when he proposed?
Yes. He was marching with the FD in the St. Patrick's Day parade in our town and two other members (our close friends at the time) left the group and got me from the crowd and brought me to their marching spot. Then the other members parted from around him and he was on one knee. I was totally surprised. Amazing.

Nope, and I'm ok it with now. We had to bow to our parents wishes of a traditional everything... hindsight, it all worked out, and it was petty matters.

No. We were in a canoe going down the Delaware River, so he thought it probably wasn't a good idea to rock the boat.
