A Father's Day Story to Warm Your Soul:
Hope everyone had a great day yesterday... I want to share a little nugget from mine:
I'm not sure if I ever shared my "D i c k ' s Sporting Goods" story on LIF before but a few years ago when they were building a brand new D i c k ' s  my mother, sister, my best friend, and I were driving by the construction site and my mom asked what was going there. I said, well dad mentioned he read it was going to be a D i c k ' s Sporting Goods. And then... THEN it happened:
My mom: oh GREAT, that's JUST what we need. A BIG D I C K ' S. We have a Sports Authority right nearby, why do we need that BIG D I C K ' S?? Useless! Who wants a BIG D I C K ' S ANYWAY?? I don't! No one does!!!!
My sister, myself, and my best friend: 
It was an epic story that will go down in my family history for the rest of eternity.
Well, FF to yesterday morning - Father's Day. I call my mom who is with my sister and ask about picking dad up a gift card. My mom said they were getting him a D i c k ' s gift card because he wanted a new golf club. OK, fine. I asked, should I just get another D i c k ' s gift card for $50 or should I get something different since Kenneth and Jenn are also giving him D i c k ' s gift cards?? My mom said: No, just get him the gift card. I said, are you sure?? I feel bad because it looks so redundant and like we didn't personalize anything for him... And, apparently, she was in the middle of something with my sister so she didn't have a ton of patience and goes:
"I'm telling you, he JUST WANTS D I C K ' S. He doesn't want anything else but D I C K ' S... He told me specifically that he LOVES D I C K ' S and that's that! So just get him that and be done with it!
Oh boy. 
Now we will have another piece to the classic story when we are all dying laughing around the dinner table retelling this shit.
I swear, they should put my family on a reality show. 
ETA - I had to space it because when I write ****'s ...it does that lol.

Lol. My brother saw a DlCKS one day and exclaimed, I LOVE DlCKS!!!" It was hysterical. And another time when I wanted to order something from there for my FIL, I realized that DlCKS.com is NOT the same as DlCKSsportinggoods.com. They've changed it since then, but my eyes were NOT prepared for what I saw!!!!!
