Beer tours

Hey everyone!
I'm starting to plan A surprise birthday party for my husband and wanted to do a beer brewery tour out east with party bus. Does anyone have any recommendations? Did you just rent a bus or use a place that had the complete package? How much was it? Thanks!

I am a big beer drinker. I think most breweries like Long Ireland would have a bunch of beers to sample so you would likely limit your tour to one place and do the tour and sit down and try all their beers. When you get to a place you will probably be doing flights of 4oz beers and most breweries will have at least 5-6 to try (so that's minimum 24oz of beer).

This isn't like a winery where you can hit a bunch of places in one shot, there are only a few breweries in Long Island and they aren't exactly close to each other (Long Ireland (Riverhead), Blue Point, Port Jeff, Greenport, Southhampton).

There are 3 breweries in river head within walking distance to each other.. long Ireland, mustache, and crooked ladder.. The newish green port tasting room is in peconic around 30 mins away

I've never been, but I've heard good things about them and have them bookmarked as an idea for hubby. Also check groupon- sometimes things show up on there.
