I would call the cruiseline directly, they will know. I use my id and BC for the Bahamas. Not sure how Bermuda works.

It says right here
Caribbean, Bahamas, Bermuda, Alaska, Mexican Riviera, Or Canada & New England Cruises
For round-trip sailings (cruises that depart from and return to the same U.S. port), you may sail with either a valid passport, proof of citizenship and a valid government-issued photo I.D. (driver’s license with a photo), or any other WHTI compliant document.
Proof of Citizenship examples include:
State certified U.S. birth certificate Original certificate of U.S. naturalization Original certificate of U.S. citizenship
So your BC and ID suffice

We are cruising next year to Bermuda on norwegian and we are getting passports. I would be worried about what happens if you get stuck in Bermuda and have to fly home or something happens. It's better to have it then not.

Passports aren't required on most cruises but IMO should be brought whenever you visit a foreign country.

Not required and will not make a difference "if you have an emergency" as people often say. If there is a real emergency, and you need to fly home, exceptions are made.

You can also get a passport card to use instead.

I agree it is much better to have and with your cruise at the end of June, you still have time to get it.

Re: Traveling to bermuda via cruise ship..norwegian
I did this cruise last year, and to get off and on the ship in Bermuda you need your card they give you on the ship. The documents are checked when you first get on the ship in NY to get your Sail card. Then after that, that's all you use for ID on the boat.
However, since you will be in another country, I would feel safer traveling with a passport then an ID and birth certificate.

You still have time to get passports. It will be expensive to expedite it but people have gotten them done in a few days. You have a month to get one.
Even though you can use your BC and Picture ID, a passport is more convenient.
