Apple Store Question
My 4 year old MacBook Pro is having issues. I can't get past an OX Repair screen. I just made an appointment at the Genius Bar. How much should I expect to pay to have it fixed?

Re: Apple Store Question
I had a problem with mine (also 4 yrs old) a few months ago and it turned out to be the graphics card.
Apple had major issues with them and thousands of Mac owners were trying to file a lawsuit against them.
Apple recently extended the warranty on them to cover repairs at no charge.
Here is my origianl post on it.
Definitely look into this and ask them about it when you go. With any luck that's what it is and it won't cost a thing.
Good Luck.
And here is a link from Apple website

Re: Apple Store Question
I had similar issues with the graphics card. They actually in turn reimbursed me $523 b/c of a the lawsuit mentioned above. If you are lucky they will do it for free. Mine was expensive b/c I had fixed in store b/c I wasn't sure if it was backuped at home. Stupid I know. Any way I could have had it fixed for around $300 if thy sent it out but Ithey couldn't guarantee that I would keep all my stuff. Anyway I paid the money then got an email saying. They would reimburse me and they did
