Resume/Job Application Question

Sorry for the post here - this board gets more traffic and I need opinions tonight...

If a friend who works for a company you are applying to is submitting your resume & cover letter in person on your behalf (in addition to you submitting online through the traditional channels) would you include copies of work awards, letters of accolade and your last performance review with your resume? Or is it overkill?

I was thinking it could make the difference between being called in for an interview or not, DH thinks it's overkill & I should just bring it with me if I am called.

The position is for an upper level manager in a very large company, if that affects your decision.

Thanks!!!

I agree with your husband. You can add your the names of awards on your resume but I would not send them in.

good luck

This exactly. I interview job candidates frequently and it would turn me off if they submitted this much stuff, but that's just me I guess.

I agree. Bring it to the interview so if the interviewer wants to see it they can. Otherwise, just put it on your resume.
