How is this wording for no siblings?
I am doing an evite this year for DS's 6th birthday party at a science place. For the first time, we are not inviting his entire class. Party is for 16 but we can go up to 24 kids. Cost is not the reason why I want to limit siblings. The activity is inappropriate for 2-4 year olds including my younger 3yo.
What do you think of this wording?
Please feel free to drop off or stay. Children will be in supervised science labs. Younger siblings are welcome to join for pizza and cake but the science activity is geared towards 5-7 year olds.
Any better suggestions?

I think you need to be more clear and include the word ONLY, as in the activity is only appropriate for children ages 5-7. By saying geared you leave it open to interpretation. I recently attended a community event where the invite said geared towards ages 5-9 and there was a 3 year old there.

i agree with this. i also probably wouldn't even include that younger sibling can stay for pizza and cake.
IMO there is no need for siblings to have to attend parties that their brother/sister got invited too. i actually think its rude for people to assume/ask to be able to bring them.

I think it is worded well but, I don't think you need to invite siblings for pizza and cake - I think that just makes things difficult. Maybe for a preschool/daycare aged party but, not for an elementary school aged party.

I agree.. at first read I'd say "limited to ages 5 and over only"
Frankly I'd say
Due to the type of science activities which will be held, there is a limitation age of 5 and over only. While those under 5 are not advised to participate in the science labs, they are welcome to the pizza and cake which will begin approximately at X:XX

Are you concerned if siblings within the age range (or older) "attend"? If so, I would incorporate this wording, or something similar, along with your wording about the pizza etc. If you are OK with others potentially attending, then what you suggested sounds good.

I agree. Just invite whom ever will be at the party, for the cake and pizza.

I think the OP usually invites siblings. I do as well. In my circle so many of my friend's DH's work on the weekends and its just easier to let them bring siblings then worry about what to do with their other kids. I'm of the " the more the merrier" mentality when it comes to birthday parties.
