Another Bottle to Sippy transition question

My DS is 13 months old and for kicks, I decided to offer his milk in a sippy cup this morning and he took it! I measured 8 oz (since that's what he takes in the bottle) and he drank about half before he seemed to get bored.

Do I need to worry about how much he drinks out of a sippy cup vs. a bottle? I really wasn't expecting him to even accept the milk in a sippy so it kind of surprised me. Since he took it the first time, do I just continue to offer in the sippy and let him drink what he wants?

If he eats a variety of foods, esp those with calcium (cheese, yogurt, spinach, etc) then I wouldn't worry about it. Milk isn't necessary as long as the nutrients are coming from other forms.

ITA and with my DD (16 months) she only takes a bottle once a day (11AM), the dr told me its not necessary anymore as long as she gets a little bit of milk throughout the day and she is eating healthy then we can do away with that morning bottle.

The quanity is really not that important. It naturally decreases on milk. He is eating reall meals now and most nutrients are coming from there. Also, of he is eating cheese, yogurt, etc. he is already getting plenty of milk fat.
