What are your thoughts on the Bill Cosby story?
I remember years ago there was a story about Cosby sexually assaulting someone and then the story went away.
Now all these women are coming forward including Janice Dickerson who I think is jumping on the bandwagon now (I believe her though)
What I don't understand is why these women continued to drink with Cosby and be alone with him after they regained consciousness naked and sick with him already.
Wouldn't they never want to be alone after that happened one time??

I never heard anything about this in the past. But I think where there's smoke there's fire.
ETA the other question.
Not sure why. But maybe because they were young and impressionable up against someone like him. Maybe he convinced them nothing happened.
Did any of them mention why? I'm sure someone had to ask them this.

I have only heard bits and pieces of all this but I was wondering the same thing. Makes no sense to me but the number of people with the same story makes me think it's probably true. Sad, because I always liked him.

howard stern played a 2006 interview with dickenson after she wrote her book. he asked her if there was anyone in it that she wanted to write about but couldn't...she said cosby..he was a bad man who preyed on women who were vulnerable and it happened in 1986 or 1989 --somewhere around that time - she was a young model, recently out of rehab he gave her wine and a pill, she remembers him wearing a plaid robe and that was it, she woke up naked and couldn't put that story in the book b/c the publishers wouldn't allow it b/c he was too big and it was a big financial risk they didn't want to take.
i believe he is who they say he is, maybe a few jumping on the bandwagon here, but as pp said, where there's smoke...there's fire

it saddens me because i've always thought he was a real champion for everyone improving themselves and being a "good person."

Where there's smoke, there is fire... He was and probably still is such a prick b@stard I wouldn't put it past him.
Also, 13+ women can't just be coming forward for shits & giggles...

I think he's guilty as sin. I don't think all of these women are lying, and he is the only one telling the truth. This is on Nancy Grace now, and this victim does not give me the vibe that she is lying.

Yeah it baffles when women get beat up by their husband, boyfriend, etc. then go back. But it's not really for us to "get" in these situations.

I believe these women. Their stories match up. Even Janice. Sure she's a crazy, attention whore, but she has indicated in the past he's not a good man at all.
All these women at the time were young and naïve and looking to get some attention in, I guess, the Hollywood scene. They got taken advantage of by a famous man who is known for being a clean-cut family man. Probably got paid off or threatened they'd never make it in the industry if they say anything. They were young and didn't want their name being dragged through the mud against this powerful man. Sad...

I believe something is definitely up. Not sure I believe Janice 100%. I also read a statement from another woman who said he raped her and then did it again 'the next time she went out and was drinking with him'. Why would you put yourself in that situation again? It makes me sad because he always seemed like a good guy.

I feel like where there is smoke, there is fire.
And there is a LOT of smoke right now.
I also wonder why he settled with one of the women who accused him a few years ago. Why...if you didn't do something, why would you settle with someone saying you did do something horrific? Did she have some type of proof that caused him to settle? We'll never know. But if it were me being accused of something I didn't do...I would go to my grave kicking and screaming about my innocence. Settling = guilt, at least with something this enormous, in my mind.
It's interesting that Netflix has cancelled a show with him and that TVLand has cancelled reruns of The Cosby Show. The court of public opinion is weighing in heavily.

My guess is they were in a vulnerable situation with a guy who could make or break their career & their dreams. It doesn't make them complicit. I could easily see a young actress convincing themselves that they'll only be with him with other people around only to discover that his entourage did nothing to help her as Mr. Jello Pudding raped her.

I think he is a horrible person and deserves everything he gets now! I am so happy all his appearances and shows are getting canceled. They stopped playing Cosby re-runs. Advertisers are pulling out. Karma is a b*tch and you cant run from the truth forever...
ETA: Did anyone see the behind the scenes footage of an interview where he told the reporter he better cut out of his report when he asked Cosby about this? He really made it clear it better not air and he better make it clear to his editors.
Now imagine your a woman, whose smaller than him. Defenseless. He has your dreams in the palm of his hands... You dont know how vulnerable these women were. You dont know what types of lives they had. Its not for us to victimize a victim or understand why. Its just for us to hear the truth and crucify this animal for taking advantage of sooo many young women.

I watched that today after posting on here and you bring up an excellent point.
I noticed how had kept repeating the same thing. About "integrity". He framed it in a manipulative way. That it would behoove the reporter to remove that question more than it would Cosby. It was intimidating and very manipulative. The reporter had some protection by saying he had to defer to his boss.
And his wife is just sitting there. Smiling and laughing. Either she's an amazing actress or really clueless.

I remember this, as much as i wish it weren't true, he's definitely seeming more and more creepy.

I think he may be guilty. one scenario I came up with is maybe he has changed for the better over the years. But he still needs to accountable for his actions past and present.

The thing I find particularly troubling is the recording of an early stand up routine where he does a whole bit about the topic of men adding "spanish fly" to women's drinks in order to drug them.
