My growth sono last Tuesday estimsted 7 lbs 3 oz and he was born at 8 lbs 11 oz just 5 days after that sono! Colored us shocked!! Glad he decided to come a little early!

Good luck ladies!!! I have to say in waiting for the ither shoe to drop- i feel pretty good. Recovery with my first was rough!

Well I'm 37w1d. Not dilated yet. Cervix is soft though and probably 50% effaced. I'm happy although anything can happen. Don't want to go before dds birthday and def not the day of, which is next weekend. After that game on.

Yeay for progress! I was at my dr. yesterday and nothing was going on. I rather go earlier vs. later but am also nervous because the last time around I didn't go into labor on my own so I don't know what to expect. I have been feeling some period-like cramps at night but so far that's it...

PS I may have to head to Besito soon. Someone told me that the guacamole there kicks start labor Chat Icon

Funny you said that because I had that kind of cramping last night and was getting a little nervous. But it ended up going away after a little while.

Mmmm love Besito!

So I thought yesterday was it for me! I'm 35 weeks and started having pretty regular contractions! Period cramps, backache and hard stomach that would come for about a min or so then subside and come back like 3-5 min later! Some were pretty painful too! I was at a bridal shower so I was sitting and drinking water the whole time and my dr said to wait 2 hours of 6 or more contractions in an hour to call so I waited. Then I called and the on call dr wasn't anyone in my regular office and she said just wait a few more hours and see if they subside or keep coming! Once I got home and put my feet up they slowed down a lot so it wasn't labor yet but this is getting annoying bc it happens every few days! I never had this with my son and only had contractions the day I had him at 38 weeks! Guess baby girl wants to cook a little longer which im happy about!!

My family thinks I am mean....

At my Dr. appointment on Friday at 36w 7d my Dr. told me I could move up my scheduled C, which is on 7/7 to whenever I want. My response...NO I'm not ready! DH is traveling for work this week, nothing is washed, the car seat is not installed and I am not mentally ready to have my life completely flipped again and deal with an infant and 19mo old. I know, I am terrible! Chat Icon

Her actual due date was 7/11 so I am just going to let her sit pretty and cook a little more until I get my act together even though my body cannot stretch anymore.

I guess I really am a meanie...

I don't think you are "mean" for not wanting to schedule a C-section earlier. I'm not getting a C but my doc won't schedule them usually before 39 weeks so that would be the earliest...

on another note I am 38 weeks and still waiting for my DH to install the car seat lol

Def not mean. I'm still mentally preparing for a 2 year old (as of this weekend) and a newborn. Besides, you're not full term until 39 weeks. 37 weeks is term, not full term as a lot of people think. Keep cooking that baby.

As for the car seat J, us too. Stm lol. This time with dd it had been installed for a month already and inspected lol.

It is very different with number 2. The furniture only arrived on Saturday and I had my mom go out and get a mattress today. With DS we were so prepared that we were just waiting around. This one, I was in BRU last week and was like "oh, maybe I should pick up some diapers" LOL. Chat Icon

Hey ladies, hope everyone is doing well and getting ready for their LOs to be arriving! I have been having problems with my blood pressure and it turns out that I have a mild case of preeclampsia. I will be 38 weeks on Friday so my dr feels at that point she wants to induce me. So I'm being admitted to the hospital on sat night, starting with cervidil and then starting pitocon on Sunday and hopefully she will be here sometime Sunday or Monday! I'm super nervous and scared but at the same time so excited to finally be a mommy! I guess my July baby will most likely be a June baby now!
