Almost finished registering, a couple questions?

What monitor do you guys have? Audio/Video/Motion? Brand? Do you like it?

What umbrella stroller do you have? I was looking for one with better tires, they all seem to have cheapy tires but SIL has an old one that has better tires and was SO much easier to push around when we went apple picking last week.

Thanks!

Almost finished registering, a couple questions?

We registered for a summer video minister based on recommendations. My SIL had a Motorola one and it died within 2 months and my niece didn't even sleep in her crib over night they only used it for nap time!!

We got the City Vue for an umbrella, easy to fold, and maneuver. I also liked that the seat can face either the parent or out facing the world, also the sun shade is HUGE!

We have a Motorola video monitor, love it, never had an issue. I don't have an umbrella stroller, we use our City Select.

We have the summer infant slim & secure video monitor 5 years and going strong. Maclaren quest for the umbrella stroller. The seat reclines and it is so small and light when folded. We have taken this stroller everywhere airports, cruises. It's also 5 years old and my DD now uses it. You can take off the seat and wash it in the washing machine, best thing ever.

We have the Summer Infant audio and video monitor and love it. We actually had an issue with it and Summer Infant replaced it with no issue.

We do not have an umbrella stroller. We only have the citi mini. My son is 19 months and there was never a time that I said I wish I had a smaller stroller. The citi mini is pretty light and folds up nicely.

i have summer infant video monitor (audio is in there) started with a motorla but it was broken when we got it and just decided to switch to summer infant cause i heard their customer service was better if there is a problem and my friend also had the a summer infant and i really liked it. as far as an umbrella stroller i started with a chicco travel system and got the Chico liteway umbrella stroller (there are two kinds the one i have fully reclines its the one that was litte more money) i like it a lot but i ended up getting the city mini and selling my travel system and gave my mom the Chicco liteway one to use when she needed it (she watches my nephew every weekend)

I have a summer infant video monitor. Its been fine.

As for an umbrella I would wait. You don't need it now and new strollers come out all the time.

We have a Summer Infant Audio/Video Monitor. My only issue is that the handheld doesn't keep a charge very long. If I could do it again, I would prefer one that has the intercom feature and a longer range.

Love Motorola. The battery life isn't great, but I leave it plugged in next to my bed all night long so it's not an issue.

ETA: You won't need an umbrella stroller for a long time, or maybe not at all. So IMO I'd leave it off your registry. I'd recommend a snap n go with your infant carrier and a good stroller. We have the City Mini and I'd recommend that. We did get an umbrella stroller as a backup, but we rarely use it. We prefer the City Mini all the time.

I got the motorola video monitor. It was OK. I was surprised by how little I needed to actually use the monitor (I could hear baby crying without one, though may be more useful if you are on a different floor).

As for strollers, I find the 3 wheel ones easiest to push & was a fan of the citi mini. There is no perfect stroller... and apple picking is not an everyday activity, KWIM? Foldability is key if you are going to be in & out of cars.

Ditto this. We have the Maclaren Triumph that's 4 years old and I still use it with my DS on occasion.
