lol if i wasnt going to eat the berries , this wouldnt bother me. am i weird?
I wouldn't be bothered so much by the berries either (though they are technically trespassing, stealing, and vandalizing), it's the possibility that if something happened (a slip and fall, etc.) while they're tying on the feed bag on my property, I would be held liable that would bother me. Also the total invasion of their sitting on my property eating berries off my tree would freak me out.
I would definitely catch them in the act and confront them. People are nuts... who does that?!

signs and subtle hints are too passive/aggressive - obviously these people see nothing wrong with what they are doing since they've done it multiple times, so the best thing is to just confront them and ask them to stop. they're basically stealing from you and trespassing.
if the trees were on public property, thats one thing, but they're not and you have the right to ask them to not go on your property uninvited
ETA: i would at first approach it nicely, and if they don't act like they're sorry or if they continue to do it, then get firmer/stern with them. They may not think they're doing anything wrong (although not sure how!)

See I am nuts and I'd want to catch them in the act myself and embarrass them. Like hide my car up the block or something to make it look like nobody is home and hide in the house waiting. But I'm a little nutty!
I would do the same I lov all of your responses

People coming onto my property when I'm not home
Yeah I'm with PearlJamChick on this one... I was going to say that you have hidden surveillance cameras and that you saw them yourself. I'd also be concerned at the berries they're eating.... what are they? Offer them a branch and some root hormone, then tell them to grow their own! I cannot believe people would come onto your private property to get berries. just wow

People coming onto my property when I'm not home
I live out east and people used to come on our property all the time to picnic. Drove me crazy. We would ask them to leave nicely and most would, but one group with bicycles said they'd leave, "After they finished eating". DH insisted they pack up and skadoodle immediately. They did.

DH said it's larceny because they are taking your property, if you catch them. Could also technically be trespassing but he said police wouldn't pursue that most likely since trespassing is only a violation.
