When did you stop using the changing table?
DS is 9 months and a very strong kid. This morning as I was changing him, I thought he was going to fling himself right off the dresser!! So I decided now's the time to give up changing him there. How old was your LO when you stopped?

When she was potty trained and didn't need diaper changes anymore. So about 2.5 or 3.

Re: When did you stop using the changing table?
DD is 21-months-old and we still use it for all changes. We definitely went through a phase where changes got a little crazy and required some wrestling moves, but that seems to have passed. I'm planning to keep using it until she's out of diapers.

Re: When did you stop using the changing table?
When my DD potty trained at 3y3m.
She was easy and cooperative so I just kept using the changing table because it made things easier for me.
ETA - DS is now 17 months and I'm still using it for him.

When did you stop using the changing table?
DS is 20 months and I still use it. Occasionally he'll wiggle too much and I have to just move him to the floor.

Re: When did you stop using the changing table?
We are still using it... bust DS is actually just to stinking long for it now! I have almost stopped using it about 4 times since he was about 8 months old. He tries all sorts of tricks on that thing. But it goes in phases. He will be crazy for a month or so, then fine again. then repeat. We are at a completely miserable phase now,its seems to get worse each time (I guess he just gets stronger and stronger and smarter! )
Sometime once the diaper is changed we just move to the floor or I let him run around in the diaper and then sneak up on him later for his clothes (esp in the morning!).

Same. Although I have a son now and he fights the diaper changes. When I know he's not going to comply I end up doing it on the floor.
ETA: He's almost 2.

Re: When did you stop using the changing table?
We still use it. I do the girls hair on it every morning. I keep all their hair things in a basket and sit them up there to put their hair up. They are now 2 & 4. Both girls are potty trained so those days are long over.

Re: When did you stop using the changing table?
Lol, I posted the exact same question when dd was 9 mos old! I decided to fight through it. She's 20 mos now and on the verge of being potty trained so I think it will be soon.
I gave her different things to play with to distract her (tube of A&D, her wipes, my phone, her shoes), and got used to putting on a diaper with her sitting, standing, rolling, etc.

I am with you on this. DS is 9 months and only wants to stand up. It is a battle to change a diaper and get dressed. As soon as the diaper is off, he quickly rolls over and trys crawling off the table or he tries pulling on my necklace, hair, shirt etc. to help him stand up. It's like a full work out.

this is what I'm dealing with! I'm just afraid of him getting hurt somehow and then it turns into a screaming fest from him as I try to hold him down lol. I see that a lot if people have just pushed through the diaper changing dance so maybe I'll stick it out a little longer. we'll see!

When did you stop using the changing table?
He's 18 months and I still use it upstairs. I don't have one downstairs, so we just use the floor. I will stop using it when he's too big for it or when he's potty trained!

DD is 3 & we still use it to change her at night. She's potty trained during the day but not at night (I like my sleep too much to wake up with her to go )

When did you stop using the changing table?
DS is almost 4 and I still use the changing pad on his dresser. I use it at night after his bath - it's easy to put him up there to finish drying him off and put him in his PJ's.

Re: When did you stop using the changing table?
Still use it at 3+. She gets dressed on there in the AM and at night into PJ's. She likes to lay there and get her "massage" after her bath! It saves my back big time to have her at that height.

When did you stop using the changing table?
At about a year and a half. DS is a big boy. He didn't like being on it and he was getting too heavy for me to lift that high. So now he gets changed on the floor or couch or wherever works.
