My DD is 21 months (will be 2 in November) and I'm interested in putting her in an educational/social program for the fall. Nothing major, maybe and hour or two twice a week. I would want one where I could stay with her. Does anyone know of any programs like this in Suffolk or Eastern Nassau county? My local library doesn't offer much but if anyone knows of any programs like the ones offered at many town libraries...

My DS is doing soccer tots this summer and its fun. We did it in West Hempstead but they have other locations as well. We did gymboree in the past as well which is fun.

We just signed up for music class at the JCC in Roslyn and Mommy and Me classes at the Waldorf School in Garden City. These are probably a bit more West than you would like to travel but i have only heard great things about the two.

I signed them up for a cooperative nursery school program in RVC at Holy Trinity. They'll be going to school there when they're 3 also. It goes from Sept. To Jan with mommy, then Jan to June without me! Chat Icon They offer 2 programs: once a week or twice a week. Since they won't be quite two when they begin in Sept, chose 1 day. I think it's a 2 hour program.

The YMCA has a great class called "You and Me Preschool." It's 1 1/2 hours long and they do free play, craft, and circle/time story. DD loved it.

Presbyterian Community Nursery School in Massapequa has a Tot-Time "Mommy & Me" class that is once a week for an hour. I did it last year with DD and she loved it.
