BJ's vs. Costco??
Which do you prefer? Our BJ's membership expires in a month, and while I like it, I'm wondering if I should try out Costco. Thoughts? How do they compare?

I have a membership to both but I feel they are 2 totally different stores and shopping experiences. I looooove Costco. The products they are carry are high quality. I love their home goods/clothes/organic selection. bjs has much more selection of food. They also have smaller packages of stuff which is nice because it's easier to store.

I agree with all of this - I have both (my mom belongs to bjs and I am her "spouse" and I belong to Costco and she is my "spouse") there are some things I prefer at Costco and get more for your money (animals crackers and plain Greek yogurt to name two) but sometimes bjs had more variety! I like the fruit and veggies in Costco so I go there - but something's like broccoli slaw that I use in a salad I make they only carry at bjs!
I would recommend a free trial and Costco to see which you prefer! They both have their pros and cons when comparing the two!

I had both. I find that I can get a majority of my regular shopping done at bj's whereas Costco only has a few items I buy. I haven't renewed my costco membership bc I don't think it pays for me. I guess go for A trial and see if it's for you.

Bj's takes retail coupons and you can use your credit card..
Costco only does debit or American Express..
I have membership to Bj's and I am also on my mother's Costco..

I've been a member of both but I do prefer BJs and have kept that membership active for years now. They have a lot of the brands I use, they have a great bakery, and lots of options and choices overall.

Both offer different things. For instance, the BJs in Farmingdale has gas ! Cosco has a great return policy.
DH and his father do both. DH buys BJs and his father is another member. His dad does Coscto and DH is the other member. The downside is that his mom and I have to go with one of them, but that's fine.

We have both and I definitely prefer BJs for everyday things, but Costco for bigger ticket items.

BJ's vs. Costco??
I also have both memberships. My husband gets Costco free at work and we did a BJ's business membership from his job too for $25 for 15 months. I like the meat section better in Costco but the bakery section better in BJ's. I do enjoy going to Costco on a Saturday because of all of the samples. But BJ's takes manufacture coupons and you can stack them with their own coupons.

Yes.
I just switched from Costco to BJ's. I liked Costco but wanted to give BJ's a try. I like that I can use manufacturers coupons with BJ's coupons. I thought the selection of their organic things was bigger than Costco. The only thing I was bummed about was BJ's doesn't carry Honest Company shampoo like Costco does. I got two huge bottles for $16 for DS that lasted us over a year and I'm running low.
