Anyone NOT love Peds First?
They seem to get great reviews on this site...just wondering if anyone isn't totally thrilled with them. You can FM me if more comfortable.

Anyone NOT love Peds First?
The only thing I was ever unhappy about was when they told me to hold out on having DD evaluated for PT. They suggested waiting 3 months which I wasn't on board with so I called on my own and DD more than qualified. It was not a doctor I see often so maybe she didn't quite grasp DD's abilities in that one visit. Other than that, I really like the office, the staff, the doctors. I like that they are laid back, don't dictate every little decision, and are very easy to reach and get appointments with when needed.

Anyone NOT love Peds First?
only thing i have been uphappy with is if i call after 1pm for an appt they usually tell me they cant squeeze me in and go on and on about how the doctors already have appts after closing time and wont let me make an appt for the next morning, tell me i have to call the next day to make the appt. i dont even bother calling if its after noon, i just go to pm pediatrics now.
but they do have a new dr starting soon (or may have started) so hopefully that will help with that problem!

I don't love them but I do like them a lot. They are SO so SO so SO much better than Pro Health (I loved Dr. Kleinberg but didn't like the other doctors, the office, the office staff was especially the worst and they made so many mistakes and always made us wait hours and hours. Major, major mistakes, even while my daughter was going through surgery). So Peds First seems amazing, their offices are nice, the office staff is very professional, the doctors always respond to me ASAP, so I trust them a lot more. However, just the timing of their appointments can be tough, very small time frame sometimes.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I appreciate your honest feedback. I'm still undecided with them. I hate the wait time. Every time I go, I wait at least 30 mins in waiting room & usually another 10 for the dr in the exam room. Last visit, I waited an hour--for a sick visit!

We recently just switched from them. When they first started their practice it was so laid back and quiet. Eady to get an appointment and no wait. That is not the case now. Very hard to get appts and they will not book visits after 3:30. Very difficult with school aged kids.

I tried it once since it was closer to our house from our old ped's. I didn't get the warm and fuzzy vibe so we didn't go back. I still drive to my ped's office.

I considered switching when DD was first born bc I really like peconic peds. I'm in n. patchogue and it was about 20 minutes for me (they're right near tanger). Peds first takes me 15 anyway. I just figured in bad weather it would be harder to get too but on a normal day it's not much difference.
As far as appointments at peds first, I've never had an issue. I sah so maybe that makes it easier. I always schedule well visits at the previous appointment and go late morning. I never have an issue getting an appointment then and I normally don't have to wait. I usually call first thing in the morning for sick visits and haven't had an issue. Only time I had a long wait was a sunday sick visit but I was just glad to get in.

Before we switched my son saw the new Dr for a well visit. I was not impressed. She blew off my concerns and basically told me to give my son Tylenol on a daily basis. That was my last straw with them.
