think of it like a christening. but money should be in increments of 18. so if you were going to give $100, give $108. (as an example)

Yes, something from their registry is probably best. Just go to BBB or BRU site to see which one they registered at. Jews usually don't have a Shower so we pretty much get the majority of our registry items after the baby is born.
Either that or you can give money or a GC to a baby store is always nice.
