My 2yo DD is definitely showing signs of being ready for potty training. Last night she was screaming "no diaper" when I was trying to put her diaper on after the bath. Only problem is that her day care doesnt do potty until she moves to the next class which wont be until after summer. Should I speak with the director and ask if they can accommodate working with her to use the potty or just wait until after the summer when they do it with her whole class?

Do they not have a potty in the classroom she is in? I would speak to them and see if something can be worked out. Maybe you can bring in a little potty as they cannot be running to another classroom each time they need to go so that might be part of the issue.

I agree with PP, definitely worth discussing with your child's teachers to see what your options are!

I would speak with the teachers as well. There were kids who were taken to the potty in the 2 YO class when DS 1 was in there even though daycare officially didn't start doing it until the 2 1/2 YO class. DS 2 is now in the 2 YO class and I think so many people had asked over the years - they now go to the potty a couple of times a day as a group (and DS 2 is showing more interest in the potty than DS 1 ever did).
