Party Supplies
Where do you get yours? I feel like everything is a fortune today. I am looking to get superman plates, spiderman napkins, table clothes, banner, etc and it totally adds up. I want to do a "superhero" theme for DS's 5th birthday and I feel like for the half hour the kids have pizza and cake it's a bit ridiculous. I'm not looking to go over the top, but just some things to make it a theme.

Party Supplies
I was surprised to find the best prices at party city. I figured online I would do better but that wasn't the case. For DD's party, I did solid colored plastic dinner plates, cups, and silverware. I definitely prefer the sturdier plastic plates over the paper themed ones anyway. I was able to reuse a lot of those from her previous birthday so I didn't have to buy as much. I did themed dessert plates, napkins, decorations, and cake toppers. The theme was definitely obvious but I saved a lot doing it that way and still have some solid supplies that I can use in the future. All the themed stuff we just used the following week or two since I obviously wouldn't reuse that.

I bought a bunch of things at the dollar store. They don't have the superhero plates or napkins but i used a few colors to send the right message (ie: red plates / yellow napkins / red forks to symbolize superman).

Re: Party Supplies
Five below. I'm not sure if they have themed stuff but def solid colors. I would get black and yellow and blue and red stuff and then maybe throw in so themed napkins and cups. Something like that.

I usually do color coordinated plates and napkins for food and then themed plates and napkins for cake. For DS'S 2nd b day we only did themed goods for the kids. Adults had plain stuff. But we did decorate in the theme.
