Re: Holiday dinners
I grew up with almost every piece of food homemade. DH woudln't have it any other way, which is fine by me since he's the one that cooks.

Re: Holiday dinners
Always homemade from scratch. I've always lived with my Italian grandma, so nothing else would do.

Re: Holiday dinners
Everything except the cranberry sauce. My mom is the only one that likes the stuff and she likes the canned better then the homeade.

Re: Holiday dinners
Homemade - of course I'm not the one "home making" them ! I go to my Dad's in VA for Thanksgiving, my Mom's for Christmas Eve and MIL for Christmas day. If I start hosting holidays there's gonna be trouble !

Re: Holiday dinners
We always had home made but last year my friend who works for this really great catering company went OOC.
I asked her to get me there Pecan encrusted Filet Minion for X-Mas dinner. (soooo good)
She wound up getting the stuffing, mashed potatoes, baby carrots, & the demi(sp?) glaze all for me as a gift. So last year we had free catered dinner for 17. She even came over w/ chairs (really nice ones) green velvet table clothes, all the silverwear, & napkins in decorative napkin rings!
At the end we threw everything in plastic bags and sent it back!
P.S I did make lasagna, my mashed potatoes & my stuffing. Those were traditions.

Re: Holiday dinners
Always homemade. I am actually pretty tired of every holiday meal being either turkey and/or brisket.
