Medically induced miscarriage? Never mind
Found out today at 10 weeks that there was no heartbeat. I think I want to opt for the medicine you insert to induce the miscarriage. I'd really like to hear from anyone that has done it this way. I'd like to avoid D&C if I can but want to know what I'll be dealing with.
Never mind, I've decided to schedule a D&C. This wasn't a surprise for me, given my advanced age and previous miscarriage. This pregnancy wasn't exactly planned so I actually feel some what of a sense of relief. Nothing like how devastated I was 6 years ago.
My best to you all. I can tell you, while you will never forget, the pain does ease over time.

I will be honest, I have heard a lot of bad experiences with the medically induced miscarriages, they can be very painful and you may still need a D&C if everything doesnt pass. I would do some research on that. I was scheduled for a d&c because it was my second loss and I wanted to do testing on the baby, but ended up passing everything naturally first. It wasn't too bad, but I was not as far along as you (the baby had stopped growing at 6-7 weeks). The most stressful part was saving everything and trying to get it tested. My other losses were chemicals so luckily I didnt have to deal with "passing everything"
You can give yourself a few days to see if you pass things on your own, but its such a tough choice. I am sorry you are in this positiion.
