God parent gifts? For baptism?
What am I supposed to get the godparents as a gift? I didn't know I was supposed to do this for my first son... Oops!

God parent gifts? For baptism?
You do not have to give the godparents gifts. I have three godchildren and never received a gift nor do I plan to give my daughter's god parents gift when she is baptized.

We do in our family and always have. They are standing up for your child and its a nice way to commemorate the commitment and occasion. Not dissimilar to the bridesmaid gifts I'm sure everyone on here gave, but even more meaningful because its from your child thanking and honoring a commitment. It can be small, even a nice frame with photo, or larger (we gave sports memorabilia, I've been given earrings).

Never given or received a Godparent gift. It is an honor to be a Godparent and I think that is gift enough.

You don't have to. But my friend just had her son baptized and got them gifts. I'm not sure what she got the Godfather, but she got the Godmother an Alex and Ani Godmother bracelet that was really cute and not much money

My dd isn't being baptized till August but I got the godmother An Alex and ani bogs mother bracelet and mother godfather a money clip. I'll probably give them a photo and frame and a nice gift certificate for,dinner. My,SIL made her sacraments so she can officially be a god mother.
