My sister is this thin. Naturally. The comments people make are just rude. No one comments to the overweight people to put down the food. No one should be commenting to the thin people to eat.
Really? Overweight people are constantly scrutinized to "put down the food"
I've never seen anyone post a pis of, oh lets say, melissa mcarthy, and saw anyone write something like, "wow she's so fat! she needs to stop eating!" People tend to be more supportive of overweight people but feel like it's ok to tell a skinny person how sick they look. Either be honest about both extremes or keep your mouth shut about both.
When I started reading this post, I was going to comment on how it's acceptable to make remarks regarding thin/skinny people, but any comments regarding those who are overweight just aren't P.C..
In my personal life, I've never told a stranger, acquaintance, friend or family member that they were too fat and they should stop eating, on the other hand I've received remarks and comments on how I was too skinny and needed to eat or gain weight (from strangers to family members.) Even after giving birth, the first thing women comment on is my weight (or lack there of), not the baby, whereas men always inquire about the baby. Go figure.
And I can't lie, I'm guilty myself of commenting when someone is thin, but it's always in the form of a compliment.
And you can't compare what she looked like 20 years ago to now. (I'm assuming that's when she did AMC.) My body drastically changed after having my 3rd child. I lost a considerable amount of fat and muscle mass making my body much bonier in appearance...hence the comments from people. (We'll see what happens long term now that I had #4. )
I think Kelly watches what she eats and enjoys working out. It's definitely a priority for her. I also think that's an unflattering photo of her. There were others that I saw where she looked more muscular & ripped.

Just commenting on the AMC portion. She left the show in 2002, so she was 31. I actually can't believe it's been 12 years, time flies!

I am really short and just about 5 feet so a few pounds makes a huge difference. I have been too thin after being too heavy.
I can tell you for a fact I heard comments and saw looks when I was both but there were WAY more when I was heavy.
I can't stand when people say things like this.
People comment others looks no matter what. It is not healthy and doesn't look good when someone is very heavy. The same goes for someone is too thin.
At my infertility clinic they expressed there is more of a danger when a person is slightly under weight than when they slightly overweight (not talking about very obese).
This woman isn’t naturally thin like this. She is dieted and worked out like crazy and it is obvious she has gone too far.

Re: Kelly Ripa
She was pretty damn thin here, but still looked fit and healthy. She must be twice the size in this video as she is now.
I remember a fitness instructor who was thin like this. She took a year off from teaching, and came back heavier and healthier looking. She confided in me she had an eating disorder, and said anyone who says they are naturally thin when they look sickly emaciated are usually lying and hiding an eating disorder.
There are very, very thin women who are naturally thin, but their whole bodies are small. They don't have sunken in cheeks, and look weak and unhealthy. Just thin.
I do not think there is one celebrity in the world who is:
Naturally thin Eats whatever they want (even if they say they do) Never works out (even if they swear it up and down)

Agreed, this is extreme. And sad.

She's thin but she is extremely petite too so I think it looks drastic
