I'm confused. Did Edith have her baby. If so, which episode? I don't think I missed any!

I'm assuming she did. I thought I missed the episode too. I went back to see the prior one and nothing. It seems as if they fast forward several months I'm guessing.

If you're up to the last one PBS aired on Sunday, yes she did.
They fast forwarded while she was in Switzerland.
Here's an excerpt for the WIKI:
By the summer of 1923, Edith has given birth to a baby girl in Genéva, having left her with an adoptive family. Later Edith, in despair for having left her daughter in a foreign country, decides she can not go on like this and against the advice of her aunt and grandmother plans to return to Switzerland, retrieve her child and put her in the care of Downton Abbey estate tenant farmer Timothy Drewe and his wife. Her hopes are dashed further at seeing Michael again, and she feels she owes something to their child, knowing that Michael has given her power of attorney in his absence, and may well have left her everything in his will. But his official wishes remain unknown.

In the beginning of the episode, someone (I forget who) mentions how Edith was in Geneva for the past 8 months.

Yes this. She also mentioned now that they wanted her to wean the baby so she had to stay longer, mentioned being back to her original size, etc.
Also when she was talking to her aunt about getting the baby back, Aunt Rosalind said that it wouldn't be fair to the parents.
But she doesn't care . It left off that she plans to go there & get the baby, stow it as an orphan child on the estate.

It was Ivy. She said that Lady Edith spent 8 months on a holiday in Switzerland but came back looking more tired than before she left.

I feel like it was such a boring season finale...I really wanted to find out what happened to Edith's man friend. Paul Giamatti was awesome though! I forgot he was going to be in this episode.

Paul Giamatti was awesome though! I forgot he was going to be in this episode.
Same here, I read that he was cast as Cora's brother but forgot about it. I was actually watching the epsode online before it aired on PBS and got so excited to see him on screen! I was about to scream out to my husband, "Look, look, Paul Giamatti on Downton Abbey!", but then I remembered that even though my husband loves Paul Giamatti, he doesn't at all care about Downton Abbey!

Yes! When we were watching it, I said to my DH, either they need to kill this guy off of bring him back already. This storyline is going on waaaaayyyy too long.

The baby daddy is now a Nazi...or it could be heading to that.
It was a bit strange -- he ran into a gang of toughs called the Brownshirts and they turned him on their side?
So the Nazis beat him up and he realized that they have a message and he is now on their side.
