What do you feed your 1 year old?
Now that we are just about off formula and heading toward real food, I wanted to know what everyone does for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

Re: What do you feed your 1 year old?
For dinner, she eats whatever we eat.
Breakfast is usually a yogurt with some Cheerios. Sometimes it's pancakes (frozen or the just add water ones on a weekend) or oatmeal and fruit.
Lunch is often dinner leftovers. In a pinch, she loves the dr. Praegers spinach patties. If I'm really desperate, it's ez Mac n cheese wih some frozen chopped spinach stirred in (i hate giving her processed foods but on thr rare occasion, it is what it is). I always have leftover tomato sauce from my big Sunday pot on hand, so small macaroni, sauce, and ricotta is a go-to. Quesadillas are a big hit ( cheese, salsa, avocado). We also buy the board head all natural turkey (it's just turkey, not processed) for dh, so I will also shred that and give it to her with a broken - up string cheese.

Oh and she loves meatballs! I will make a bunch and freeze them! Also, chicken soup, and I drain out a lot of the liquid so it's soft veggies and tender chicken left that she can pick up.

Re: What do you feed your 1 year old?
My DD usually eats the same exact thing every single day for breakfast because DH feeds her. -Yogurt! and a fruit (he does either banana or dole mandarin orange fruit cup) But on weekends, I give her scrambled eggs or waffles with raspberry sauce. sometimes we do oatmeal
For lunch she usually has "snack" type foods, cheese and crackers, or whatever was leftover from dinner the night before. or egg salad (mixed with yogurt) or an avocado or a baked sweet potato
For dinners we do fish, chicken salad (mixed with yogurt), mac and cheese, soup (different kinds), pasta, and vegetables. I usually make sure there is always vegetables with her dinner if I can.
For snacks she gets cereal, like cheerios and more fruit and/or cheese.

How do you give the cucumber? Do you cut it up? I to squares? Or thin slices? And when you say "with something" what does that mean, like with ranch?
Thanks!

I cut the cucumber into 4 spears, and then I slice the spears somewhat thinly. It's her favorite snack right now.
I realized the "with something" made no sense after I typed it. What I meant was that I don't give her cucumbers as her lunch; I serve it alongside a meal. I don't give her any type of dip with it.

Re: What do you feed your 1 year old?
Dd pretty much eats whatever we eat. Lucky she likes fruit and vegetables so I try to give her some with every meal. She likes apples, bananas, and tangerines cut into little chunks. And also cooked vegetables like broccoli, corn, carrots, beans, sweet potato, string beans.... She really likes anything with sweet potatoes, especially sweet potato fries. She will also eat meat cut into small pieces (chicken, steak, fish, turkey meatballs). She will eat pasta with sauce on it, and macaroni and cheese. She loves grilled cheese. For breakfast I usually make scrambled eggs and whole grain waffles, pancakes, or crepes and she loves those. She also love peanut butter and jelly for lunch, but I waited a few months after she turned 1 to try that.
I probably could list a lot more foods but I can't think of them right now. She really does just eat whatever we're eating, just cut up really small. At her 15 month appointment her pediatrician told us she can anything now, so we let her try whatever we're having. The only thing I don't let her have is raw fish if we're having sushi. We get her a sweet potato roll and she loves that.

Re: What do you feed your 1 year old?
I also wanted to add we used the fruit cups, just make sure you get the kind in water or it's own juice. They were nice and soft for a beginner eater and we could take them out with us too!
