This one is pretty up there... There was the blizzard of 1996, I was in 7th grade and that ONE storm got us a week off from school (and saved my behind with a science fair project). I think we got 3 or 4 feet of snow from that one storm.
I totally remember that! My best friend lived a few blocks away and I stayed over her house for like 4 days straight. And her older sisters took us sledding up at the park. It was the best!  Oh to be 11 again!

I feel like I remember hearing about the blizzard of '96. I was 9 though when it happened, so I was probably oblivious to how bad it was
I feel the same way, but I was in college ( in NY) ! I think maybe it was over a break & I was just home sleeping anyway!

Showing my age here - but the absolute worst was the ice storm of February 1978.
I was hoping I wasn't the only one to remember this one!!! LOL

Photos of the blizzard of February 1983 I remember that it came up to my mid chest. I was very little then and remembered having to walk home in it and almost not making it home from elementary school.

Do I age myself is I say the Blizzard of 1978?
1996 was a bad year. I was working in Manhattan and took a lot of work at home days.

I was born during the Blizzard of '83 and still get the (joking) guilt trip from my parents! My uncle had to take us all home from the hospital because all the cars in the parking lot were snow-covered bumps!
