Introducing myself and question

Hi Ladies! I am new to the boards. I read a lot of postings, but don't post as much as I'd like to.
My name is Angela and I currently live in BK.
My partner and I are expecting our first baby in August and are very excited about this new phase in our lives.

I want to say hi and congrats to all of you! I hope I get to know you all over time.

Question: leg muscle spasm at night

Has anyone ever had one of these? I had a bad one last night. I've never had one in my entire life. I didn't know what it was.
It was pretty scary.

Any advice on how to avoid them? I read that it might be dehydration. I thought I was drinking enough water, but I guess I need to increase it or maybe have coconut water and gatorade as well.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

THIS!! Oh geez they are SO painful and will wake you out of a dead sleep. Water and pointing your toes helps.

Congrats!! I got them too and mine was a vitamin deficiency. They discovered it at my 8 week appointment when they do every test under the sun- after I started taking meds they went away almost immediately.
