iPhone 5c or 5s
I've never had an iPhone before and will most likley be getting one this week. Which one (5c or 5s) and why?

It's also plastic and therefore more durable. But, I agree, that's what the otterbox cases are for. I'm not sure how much I trust these new plastic cases yet.

Well, right now Target has a deal going on and offering trade in $$ for an old phone. So, the 5c would wind up being free and the 5s would be about $110 - $120. Does that change your answer? (I'm willing to get either, but just not sure what one offers over the other - as far as speed, photos, apps, etc)

I really like the 5S. I love the fingerprint scanner - something I didn't even care about before I got it.

The 5C is pretty much just a 5 with a plastic colored back. When I went to the store, I had the option of getting a 5C right then and there or waiting 3 weeks to get the 5S. If I wanted a 5, I would have just gotten the 5 with my upgrade a few months ago. I wanted the newest one with the better camera, processor, etc.. JMO.

I got the 5c the day it came out
I was upgrading from a 4 and I really wanted a pink one
I love it
I don't even have a case for it and dropped it a few times and nothing happened to it

This is true about Target, however, I would check with your local Apple store first because I believe they are offering more $$ for a buy back.

This is true about Target, however, I would check with your local Apple store first because I believe they are offering more $$ for a buy back.
Thanks for this info. Do you happen to know if the Apple store has the phones on sale, as well? At Target, the 5c is $50 and the 5S is $180 (I think).

I have a 5C and my DH has a 5S. The additional features on the 5S were not worth the additional money (to me). I do not need a fingerprint reader and my phone works just as fast as my DHs (in regards to the processor).

. Same here! Love my 5c and my dh has a 5s and has issues with his battery. I love the plastic back you really don't need a case!

Just got the 5c last week, and I must admit I love it! Could be that it's my first iphone but the feautures are great and really easy to use.
