question about whole milk
I switched DD to whole milk. I transitioned slowly over two weeks. Now that she's on just whole milk I notice she gets constipated, her poops are nuggets and sometimes they really hurt coming out. I'm thinking she may not be ready and continuing to mix milk with formula. What do you think? Our 12 month visit isn't until Tuesday so I'll ask the doc then.

I don't think it's that she's not ready. DS moved to whole milk a couple of months ago and this happens to him if the total amount for the day is low. I would just see what else she is eating throughout the day, and make sure she has water too.

It is very normal for them to get constipated when switching over to milk... My son did. Pear juice works very well..... IT will disappear in a few weeks when her belly adjusts to it.

One of mine gets constipated, the other gets the poops. I just give prunes every once in awhile if needed or make sure they get fruit in every day, a few times a day.

Yes exactly this.
It takes a while for their bodies to adjust to the switch.

My girl too has such a problem sometimes going since switching to milk. Theyre like hard golf balls when shes done, its so sad when she starts crying while pushing. But we have been giving her prunes once a day with one of her meals and its been helping.
