PP OB
I recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl two weeks ago and I'm finding it really hard to adjust to not seeing my ob on a regular basis. It has been a journey to get here and I feel like I've had such an intense relationship with her given that journey. At my two week follow up, I learned she was taking leave at the end of the year and I've been crying about it since. Is this normal or could it be the hormones? Anyone miss their relationship with their ob?

Re: PP OB
My daughter is 12 months old and I still miss the OB visits too. I haven't seen my doctor in like 10 months, and I'm looking forward to going back. I think it's natural and a hormonal thing and will wear off. But not entirely. It was a part of your life for 9 months and heightened by hormones and just because it's one of the most important times in your entire life. so dont worry about being so attached. i think its normal and will fade as you build a bond with your LO.

Re: PP OB
wanted to add that i cried in the hospital because my ob wasn't at the hospital to discharge me, it was another doctor from the practice. my dh helped me get over it but i was upset and almost felt slighted in some way. i thought i was crazy too but some of us get attached like that. plus dh used to carve out time to come to every single appointment and it really made me feel happy and now i miss that time and attention. it made every visit to the dr feel more important than it probably was...
