I play on sports teams and go out on the weekends (once a month for dinner with girls, and randomly out to bars with friends).

It's not like he's doing me a favor - it's his daughter.

I also don't "hold him back" from anything ever.

You need to force yourself and make plans. You need to stop thinking that your DH does so much more than you. You are partners. You created a life together. This is both of your child, not more yours because you are more the caretaker. Why can't your DS have a night with Dad when you go out to dinner with girlfriends? I don't go out a lot but I make an effort to go out. You need your freedom and your girlfriends!!

My DS#2 goes to bed between 7:30 and 8. So I usually put him to sleep and then go out so DH only had to deal with DS1.

Occasionally I will meet friends earlier and then DH is just in charge of bedtime.

I feel bad but we all need time away, DH goes out with his friends sometimes too.

If i were you I would plan my night out alittle later, Maybe meet friends for drinks around 8 or 8:30. This way DH only has a short evening with DS. I knwo you feel bad, I do too, but I know when I dont have a MNO for awhile, I go batty (I am a SAHM) and after having one, i feel recharged because I got to relax and have a REAL conversation with a friend! Tell your DH to plan a night out with his friends too!
