Rizzoli & Isles Actor Lee Thompson Young Dies

Lee Thompson Young, who starred as the lead in Disney Channel's The Famous Jett Jackson, has died. He was 29.

Officials believe his death may be a suicide. TMZ reports that Young's body was discovered with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

While the actor had TV roles in series like Smallville, Scrubs and CSI: NY, he also starred as Detective Barry Frost on Rizzoli & Isles from 2010 until the time of his death.

In addition, he played Chris Comer in the 2004 film based on Buzz Bissinger's book, Friday Night Lights.

A manager for Young had no comment about the report.

I don't watch the show, but it's so sad to hear of someone so young leaving the world...Hope he rests in peace!!

I have no idea who he is, but this is so sad. 29, too young What does Disney do to these people?!?!?

He looks like a cross between Taye Diggs & Wayne Brady.

i saw him on smallville and flash forward and other small roles. what a shame. i feel like suicide and "accidental" overdose is so big right now. it's sad that as a society we are all so sad, depressed, pressured, anxious, stressed, etc. that we have to resort to suicide, prescription pills, drugs, etc. i know its always been an issue and many celebrities have died from suicides and addictions in the past but i feel like it is becoming more frequent or at least openly discussed now. and it makes me worry.

He does! Such a handsome guy! So sad.
I didn't watch Rizzoli & Isles but I recognized him from Disney when I saw younger pics of him. 29 is too young...and to hear it may have been suicide breaks my heart.
