for those of you who have been there do you think if she is 8 months but crawling and very active she would be too small for this?

I personally think she would be too small, but you know your child best. There are lots of pretend food/kitchen/shopping cart items. a few puzzles, a giant little tikes slide, dress up clothes..etc You should call & see if you can look inside before paying

An 8 month old is way too young. It's geared toward toddlers & kids who walk and run. They're moving quickly back and forth in long narrow space. Playing with Melissa & Doug shopping carts, Cosy coupe cars, dress up clothes, play kitchen, a little tykes or step2 type of climbing apparatus with slide. You would be spending the whole time keeping a crawling infant out of harms way.
