Anyone else see Rush at Jones Beach last night?
Got last-minute comp tickets, so I went...what a show! The band is so tight musically...Geddy Lee's voice is still great...Neil Peart was a-maz-ing!! Lots of visual stuff too.
Really, really cool.
I saw them about ten years ago but was wasted and don't remember anything

I had no idea that they have such a strong fanbase like that! There were so many people in old tour shirts. Cool stuff. :)
I'm going to my 40th Pearl Jam show in a few weeks. I totally understand

I went last night. And I loved it!
I've never seen them before...and I never listen to their music. I may even have said once or twice that I hate their music  .
But my husband loves them...loooooves!! So I bought him tickets for his birthday and he asked if I would go with him...so I had to go. I was dreading it!
But they really put on a great show! They looked like they were having a blast...and the crowd was so enthusiastic. It really was a great time. I'd even go so far as to say I'd see them again. And maybe not change the radio station if they came on.
They converted me!

Yeah, the Rush fan-base is really intense, very strong bond the fans have.
Last night's first set was good for a diehard fan, not for the new Rush fan.
I have to say I was more than fine with the rain last night, I had so much fun singing Spirit of the Radio in the rain with thousands!

Yeah, that was super cool. There was a father/son team next to me...son had to be about 12/13 and he was so excited, knew every word to every song and sang along :)
Probably a lot of Mother's Day/Father's Day gifts...tickets to the show!
Did you catch the supermoon on the horizon during intermission? People in our section were going wild for it!

There was a couple sitting near us who had their son with them....he was probably 4 or 5 and he was having a blast dancing to the music...it was adorable!!
