3 1/2 week old, suddenly not sleeping

We need help! For the past few days DS has barely slept! He's been fussier then normal and seems to have trouble calming down. He's taking cat naps during the day and only a hour or so at night. He had been napping approximately 2 hours during the day and was up to four hours at night. I pump and give breast milk during the day. At night I mix enfamil newborn with breastmilk. I am giving him little tummies gas drops with each bottle. He seems really uncomfortable at times, grimaces and grunts a lot. He has several dirty diapers a day so he does not seem constipated. I was thinking of buying a small can of the enfamil gentle formula to see if that sits better in his stomach....but beyond that I'm stumped and exhausted!!!!

I would say try gas relief drops. And try cutting dairy from your diet. Def try gentle formula. Maybe the milk isnt sitting well with him. This is when i started to notice my dd had an issue digesting milk and she was pt on similac alimentum.
For my dd it started at night. Waking in the middle of the night with painful gas. Crying.grunting. being up from 2-4am uncomfortable.

Changed formula and had a brand new baby. Started sttn.

dd had a big issue with gas too that kept her awake. i cut out dairy and it seemed to help her. i would give her the gas drops and also gripe water. when she got formula i did switch to enfamil gentle ease and it did seem to help. make sure you burp him and move his legs like a bicycle - that seemed to help dd

if he hasnt slept much in a few days he could also be fussy bc he is over tired.

Could it be the three week growth spurt? DS was so irritable and grumpy and constantly hungry and wouldn't sleep at that age....

Thanks girls! I'm doing all breast milk today to see if it's a formula issue.
