At work we use a jiffy steamer and they last forever, but I honestly don't love steaming over ironing. Steamers take twice the room and twice the time to heat up than an iron...

I have the little travel steamer that is like $20 at BBB... the one that probably has bad reviews but we've had it for YEARS and use it all the time. Love it!
It's like this one
I take it with us when we travel. I have an iron that is still in the box from my shower in 2009 that has yet to be used b/c I have that little steamer.

Re: Rec your clothes steamer please
I have a Rowenta steamer that I use.
It doesn't replace ironing though, takes much longer to get the wrinkles out, forget about trying to use a steamer on linen. It is good for wool items, dresses, sweaters, suits - fabrics that don't do well being ironed and get minimal wrinkles. I iron my clothes before I put them in the closet, and then steam them when I want to wear them to get the "hanging" marks out. You know, like when the sleeves fold inward and get those marks, or the marks on the shoulders from the hangers.
This is my second Rowenta. I had my first one for about 12 years and this one for about 8.

I have a Conair one. They all get bad reviews to be honest. Most spit water, etc. But it works amazingly well on things with ruffles, pleats, etc. For regular clothing (pants, and regular shirts), I just use the iron, it's faster.
