So all my blood results came back fine except the one for parvo virus
I have to go for another blood test to see if it was just a freak thing or what. I have to meet with the perinatologist next week. I am nervous. I have been reading up on it and it can be farely severe. Anyone else have this happen to them? The dr. doesnt seem too concerned. She said it is a common childhood disease called "fifth disease" where kids get high fevers and have red cheecks. They call it the "slapped cheek" syndrome. But where would I get it from. I hope it was just a mess up.

are u sure that it did not come back that u r just not immune to it??? mine came back saying that i am not immune to it so i just have to watch when i am around grade school children and let them know if i am. but they told me it is no big deal and that a lot of people are not

I used to teach pre-school in college. But I am not around children, except family now. Maybe that is what they meant, that I am not immune to it. But they are sending me for another blood test I guess in case. I have no idea where I would have gotten the virus from. But I guess anything is possible.

my paro virus came back positive when I had my bloodwork done.
It can also show positive if you have ever had chicken pox.
If you have ever been exposed it shows positive.
I happened to know I had a positive reading on it, years ago, so I told them if I was exposed it was a long time ago.
Its very rare that you actually have 5ths at the time of the test.

That is what I figured. I just got nervous b/c I know it can cause problems with the baby being anemic. Hopefully it is nothing!
