potty training twins, br on the second floor

I don't know if this is a twin question or not, but tell me how you trained your twins who did not have access to the bathroom. Our bathroom is on the second floor, the living room and kitchen (where they spend all of their time) is on the first floor. I have 2 potties. Did you set them up on the first floor? Was there a potty corner? or did you just let them sit on the potty in the living room while watching elmo? My girls are not ready yet, at least I don't think they are. How do you know? We are almost dry after their 1 nap. I'm just trying to prep for the summer, when I am off and can get this done.
TIA

Well, i am still in the middle of potty training. But i have the same set up you describe. I have 2 potties. They both come down stairs with us in the mornings on the weekends when we are home with them all day and honestly, i just kind of plop them in the middle of the livingroom when it's time to sit on the potty and put the TV on. Every night we go through our bedtime routine. Potties come upstairs and i put the potties either in their room or in the hallway. Our bathroom is small so I don't really like putting them in the bathroom. They sit on their potties while i am getting all their stuff together. It's such a PITA to have the bathroom on the second floor when potty training. I feel like if we just had 1 DC, then it would be easier to go upstairs everytime. But with multiples, they both always have to come so it's more hectic. I didn't really know that they were ready. I just started potty training and they kind of took an interest. Sort of. They are still not 100% into it, but we do it. Good luck!!!

We used pottys and just had them outside of the bathroom door, so it was easier for us, didn't need the bathroom there. Once they got the hang of using the potty we put it in the bathroom. We had 2 pottys so we could do it at the same time, and just gave them tons to drink and had them sit on the potty every 1/2 hour.
