Painting Activity for Party

For DD's birthday party the kids will be painting fairy houses. I dont know how to handle the paint.

Do I each give them their own set (its like 5 colors) or do I buy the larger bottles and pour them into a container (I have metal buckets) and let them dip their brushes in that?

Mine is 4 and I'd probably do buckets and several paint brushes in each bucket.. so if they want red they get a 'red' paint brush, put it back and pick up a blue one, etc. boy or boy tho.. that's gonna be messy depending on the age and set up!

OR you can put some out on a paper plate for each kid and let them come ask for more if they need it

I wouldnt by sets tho.. some kids will paint the whole house one color or others may mix so you may need more of one color or not etc... cheaper in bigger sizes and you can keep the left overs.

I think I'd maybe give them each a paper plate and let them put the different colors they want on it. I would imagine a lot of tiny hands getting a lot of pain on each other as they try to share the buckets. This way they have their own paint and aren't traipsing back and forth with dripping brushes. I would just head to the dollar store and stock up on lots of brushes so they can grab a new one for each color if they need to. They usually have big packs of different sized brushes.
