Sleep Training Help
Any tips on dealing with frequent night wakings with a 5 month old breastfed baby who won't take a pacifier? Step-by-step instructions welcomed. I don't have time to read 6 different books about 9 different theories. Tell me what worked for you, please, I'm desperate for help. Thanks!

My DD is 6 months and started waking at least once a night. I think its teething .. Im not into CIO so I just go in there and either nurse her or rock her back to sleep. So Im probably not one to answer this but Im interested to see what others say .. Good luck!

This is what worked for us
She is now 8 months old and has not had a problem since. Once she starts teething I will not be doing this

Thank you mrs fatthead. I am not convinced that dc doesnt need just 1 feeding though :-/ would you say picking one time to go in and immed feed would sabotage the whole process? And you leave in 1-2 mins even if theyre crying right??? I never want to leave my baby hungry but its def more for soothing and comfort. This is so hard!

Around 7 depending on the last nap.
I tried CIO when DD was waking a lot at night, maybe around 8 months. Since she often didn't nurse great right before bed I decided to still feed her the first time she woke. Then I tried to do CIO for any other wakings. I can't tell you whether or not it sabotaged things bc I didn't stick with it. It was just easier and less stressful to nurse her in the end. I will tell you she's almost a year and still wakes at least once a night.
