breast pump company

I know most ladies on here use edgepark...they were who i contacted first. but after being told there was a nationwide shortage of pumps i found another company...

sunmed medical

I called up and got right through to a person who emailed me questions to fill out re: insurance coverage. depending on your insurance, you can either get the pump 30days prior to due date or once the baby is born. (fyi i have aetna and was able to get my pump in advance).

they cover the madela advanced personal double pump

I have not yet received it, but was told it shipped

So any ladies that are due soon or just had babies and need pumps, give them a call and see if they take your insurance

breast pump company

I just gave them a call and they're going to let me know in 24-48 hours if they take my insurance. I was just amazed an actual human being answered the phone!!!! Thanks for the tip!

Wow. I have to tell you. I can't believe how easy that process was. I was not only able to order the pump but they will be shipping it within the next two weeks. I don't need it until April but since there is a shortage, I wasn't going to push back.

I was going to register for the Freestyle but since the Advanced personal double pump was free I went with that one. The freestyle was $125 additional. Does anyone know how it is?

Thank you again for posting this.

Re: breast pump company

I actually called edgepark today (being that my due date is in 30 day or less) and she asked me a bunch of questions over the phone and said it takes 5 business days for the order to be accepted and 2 days for shipping and I would only be notified if there was a problem. my whole phone call lasted 10 minutes!

ETA I have Empire BCBS

good luck; i hope it works for you. i did the same thing a week ago (although my phone call was 45 minutes on hold before i got through to a rep)....they told me the order would ship and then i think the next day (or maybe 2 days later) i got a call saying there is a shortage and to sign up online and be notified when they are available

If you have UHC, now you can't order the pump until you've had the child. Then with processing and shipping, it takes about 2 additional weeks. I'm really done with this and thinking I'm just going to splurge and buy my own pump. At this point the headache they've caused me is just not worth it! Do I need to call my insurance company before making the call to this company? Any info on how to start the process would be so helpful I'm clueless on what I need to do.

this company will take down your information (contact info plus insurance info) and then find out your coverage and get back to you
