Update on my Dad
So WAAAAY back in August he went into the hospial. A few surgeries later and an attempt to go home, he was back in the hosptial with C-diff. The skin graft didn't hold so he had to stay.
Well he's finally home. He's lost 70lbs but his diabetes is much better under control. (for now). He's been home about two days now. Getting used to life again, really.
So thanks to you all who send positive thoughts.
His wound still hasn't completely healed but his kidney function is better, is blood sugar is better, the infection was cut out and the c-diff is being battled.
I'll take it!

With my step mom.
Financially this sort of destroyed them. He's covered by VA but he's the 'worker' if you will of the house. She's blind and my brother works a job at a local grocery store. So this sickness has pretty much forced them into packing up the house.
It sounds strangely good needs but they may have to come to Texas by next fall because they'll be bankrupt and foreclosed on. 
I have volunteered to take out a loan to pay for the move. Which should be interesting, but family.. ya gotta do it, ya know?
Right now, he still needs treatment and monitoring and my brother still can't leave the state legally, plus its too cold to move. So he's stuck until spring. We all are hoping the bank won't evict/foreclose before at LEAST June.

Update on my Dad
so glad he is doing better but so sorry to hear that this financially ruined them. th foreclosure process can take quite some time to get rolling, so i hope this gives them the time they need to get their stuff together and for your dad to recooperate
