Staying in the moment
How do you stay in the moment with your LO and enjoy the "now" time?
Ever since she was born, I have this tendency to always be so excited for future things, that I realize I'm overlooking now a bit too much and then I look at the past with regret. My DD is 4 months old this week, and I have no idea where the time went... I miss that first month, the newborn weeks... I can hardly remember it and I feel like even now that I realize that- I can't help but think ahead to the next holiday or big event or something...

Staying in the moment
I don't think you're doing anything wrong, that's just life. You don't realize how fast it goes! My older DD is 3 now and although I remember certain things and how she looked, I don't remember her being a baby, lol. Just make sure you take a few minutes each day to snuggle her, breathe her in, kiss her whole face and just revel in it. That's all you can really do. Everyone looks forward to the future! I don't know that there's anything you can do to stop it.

Staying in the moment
I'm like this too. Not just as a mother, I've always been like this. I'm a planner and sometimes I'm too busy planning for the future to really be in the moment. I'm trying with my DS to stop and smell the roses when I can. I notice it in the little things, like when I'm giving him a bottle and he reaches up to touch my face. Or when he laughs at something funny his daddy does. I catch myself in the quiet moments and try to savor them. The rest of the time, I'm so busy and running here and there that it's easy to overlook them. Try to enjoy every minute! My DS is almost 8 months old already and I can't believe how fast the time went by.

Oh I'm guilty of this too, and I think a lot of parents are. I get so excited for my DC with every new milestone and then look forward to the next one. They roll over, I can't wait for them to crawl! They crawl, I squeal with excitement when they start pulling themselves up!
Just this weekend I told myself to just SIT BACK and watch them. They are at such amazingly cute ages (2.5 and 7 months) and starting to interact with each other. I do try each night to have special alone time with each of them. DD2 goes to bed earlier so I nurse her and we snuggle; then I play with DD1 and talk about our day etc etc.
It's hard in the craziness of life, but I'm really going to try to just relax and take in this precious time.
